Our girls are struggling:
- 90% of 4th through 8th graders report being victims of bullying1
- Girls age 14-16 engage in self harm at 3 times the rate of boys that age2
- Suicideis the second leading cause of death for youth ages 12-183
- 1 in 9 girls and 1 in 53 boys under the age of 18 experience sexual abuseor assault at the hands of an adult4
Gals Lead, the Dream Queen Association’s, signature program for teen girls, tackles these painful statistics head on. Wework with girls to develop and cultivate their self-confidence, authenticity, and leadership potential. Participants gain the clarity and confidence needed to create intentional career paths they love – ones that align with their divine passion and purpose. The program focuses on four Pillars of Success: (1) Know Yourself; (2) Dream Big; (3) Overcome Obstacles; (4) Take Action.
“As a result of attending the Gals Lead Teen Program I’m feeling more confident, motivated, and prepared for dealing with difficult situations. I learned some good tools on overcoming things that are impeding progress in the future. I also liked getting close with the other girls.” — Abi C. (11th grade)
Gals Lead retreats, assemblies, and clubs teach teenage girls responsibility and the role of leadership, help them develop a life-long love for learning, and ultimately equip them to transform the 7 Cultural Spheres of Influence that define our world today: Government, Business, Education, Religion, Family, Media, & Arts/Entertainment.
Over the past 5 years, Gals Lead has worked directly with over 250 teen girls, held 5 weekend retreats, led an assembly and Club Programs at local schools. We’ve had fantasticresults and are expanding to serve more girls.
We need to raise $30,000 to expand our program and engage more teen girls in more middle and high schools. Our goal is to launch 6 additional club programs by September 2018. All club programs run from September – May.
The Dream Queen Foundation envisions a world where all women and girls have the knowledge and support they need to step into positions of leadership and bring their whole selves to impacting the world, making it a more positive, peaceful, and joyful place to live.

“This time with you both made me feel better about myself. It helped me look at myself and different situations in new ways. I’m so thankful for this and all the girls giving me more motivation.”
“I love how I left this program feeling better about myself and feeling more confident. Before this program, I was feeling like I couldn’t do much. Now I feel like a leader, more confident, and more encouraged.”
“The benefits I received were confidence, learning to forgive and being able to let go of unnecessary things that were on my shoulders. Before attending the Gals Lead Program I was losing motivation and confidence. Now I feel like a leader, have a smile on my face, and I feel like I can achieve anything.”
“I learned how to let go of my problems and how to take my focus off of what’s not good and think about the good things.”
“I have a clearer vision of who I want to be and how I can take my talents and hobbies and interests and make a career out of it. I thought Gals Lead was going to be a typical teen conference and I wasn’t really looking forward to attending, but I got so much from the program. What I’m taking away from the two days is that I’m not alone. There are other people like me who have gone through similar things and they are successful.”
“If you need some motivation and inspirations, Gals Lead, is great for that. Before attending I thought it was going to be boring. After the two days I feel like I won’t let anything get in the way of my goals. I was definitely inspired.”
“As a result of attending I’ve learned so much about myself. Letting go of the things that are preventing me from achieving my goals was a big deal. I feel more confident about achieving anything I set out to do. I just feel like I was a totally transformed person after the first day. I feel like I can really impact people by being a positive, insightful person who has goals.”
